Heading to Disney with my 7 year old and soon to be 10 month old. What hotel (or area) do you think would be best? Closer to monorail, closest bus stop at park, most convient, things like that?

    Hello Myrna and welcome back!

I often have debates with myself about your exact question! Which of the fabulous Walt Disney World Resort Hotels is best? Well, like all great things, that depends. The age of your children suggests to me that you will be spending more time at the Magic Kingdom Park than anywhere else.  With that in mind, I would recommend Disney's Contemporary Resort. Not only do you have direct access to the Monorail (it glides directly through the center of A-frame central tower), but the entrance to the Magic Kingdom is also a simple, leisurely walk from the resort.

Disney's Contemporary Resort is also home to one of my family's favorite character dining experiences.  At Chef Mickey's you can join the "Fab Five" for breakfast, brunch or dinner. Another culinary delight sits at the top of the resort- California Grill.  Dining at this signature dining location comes with a fantastic view of the Magic Kingdom.

This combination of great restaurants and unbeatable location makes Disney's Contemporary Resort top my list.

The truth is, I have not had a negative experience at any of the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels, so you really can't go wrong with whatever you choose!

I hope you have a magical stay.  See ya real soon!
