Heading to Disney World in Oct with our kids - one daughter will turn 4 while there and the other will be 3mths old. Is Mickey's notsoscary halloween party worth the extra money for a 4 yr old? Is there a lot for her age to enjoy? Thanks!

Hey, Ally! I actually think a four-year-old is the perfect aged child for a first trip to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. The last time we were there, my youngest son was four, and he had the best time dressed up in his costume like Buzz Lightyear. There were trick-or-treat stations set up everywhere, and character greetings that we had never seen before...like the Walrus from Alice in Wonderland! Some of the characters were even dressed in Halloween costumes such as Donald as a pumpkin or Goofy as a cowboy, and the dance parties and limbo contests were such a fun addition to an already wonderful evening. We enjoyed the parade so much that we bought the CD to play in the car on the way home!

Other guests -- grown ups as well as kids -- really get into the act with elaborate costumes, and the cast members were so kind to "recognize" my Buzz and ask for his autograph.  Just remember that it's still warm in October and that you may need an extra tote bag for costumes in case the little ones get too warm. There are a myriad of attractions open to delight the entire family, and the entertainment is nothing you will see during regular park hours during that season. Since the party tends to keep you up late, remember to plan accordingly...a nap the day of and sleeping in the day after are musts for little ones attending MNSSHP!

I hope this helps you plan! Have a beautiful Alabama day and a most magical vacation!
