Hello! We are heading to disney world in January with our 3 1/2 year old. We will have 3 days at the parks. I am thinking 1 day at MK, 1 day at Epcot and split a day between HS and AK. What do you think? Should we devote more time to AK or HS?

    Hi there Anne!

It sounds to me like you're on the right track with your planning for your fast-approaching trip to Walt Disney World!

You'll definitely want to devote one entire day to Magic Kingdom Park.

I think you'll find it easier to split a day between Epcot and Hollywood Studios as they are easy to travel between by boat and quite close to one another. I'd recommend that you begin your day at Epcot visiting The Seas with Nemo & Friends along with The Land and Imagination pavilions. Enjoy some lunch somewhere 'around the world' before you decide to venture over to Hollywood Studios via boat from the International Gateway between France and the UK.

Animal Kingdom is a great park to spend a leisurely day from morning right through the late afternoon. Start the day out with the incredible Kilimanjaro Safaris Expedition and then meander through the amazing walking paths in both the Africa (Pangani Forest Exploration Trail) and Asia (Maharajah Jungle Trek) sides of the park. Add in 'Finding Nemo - The Musical' along with the Discovery Island trails and a ride on the Wildlife Express Train to Conservation Station & the Affection Section petting zoo ... and before you know it it will be time for Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade! I find it hard to see all there is to see in Animal Kingdom in just a half day. It's a great park for families of any ages!

After the parade, consider spending dinner time and the evening at Downtown Disney, or simply head back to your resort hotel to enjoy some pool time and relaxation.

I hope this helps with your planning Anne.
If you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to write me back. I'd love to hear from you again soon.

Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
