Hey there, Kristie!
Okay, first, breathe! I get where you are coming from with planning for your
Walt Disney World vacation. A lot has changed if you haven't been in a while, but there's so much more to explore!
Let's start with some tips to help you navigate a busy week. First, rope drop. That's where you head into the
theme parks in the morning just as they are opening up. Getting an early start will allow you an opportunity to head straight for some of the most popular
attractions and get them done before the late sleepers or big morning breakfast people head in.
Next, use the brand new
Genie+ and Lightning Lane options. While these features do cost a little more, they can be a huge time saver. You book a return time for a particular attraction, then you can go and check out some of the other rides or grab something to eat without waiting in line.
Another tip is to use the
Virtual Queues. From time to time, some attractions will be placed in a virtual queue, so there's no waiting in a regular line. You'll have two chances to get into a virtual queue, at 7 AM and again at 1 PM. Right now, the newest attraction,
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind uses this system, so you won't have to wait in a regular line when you get to the park.
Kristie, make sure you've made
theme park reservations, which may not have been a thing last time you visited. And if you have anything else we can help with, we are
right here for you!
