Hello and welcome to planDisney, Brian! Thanks for stopping by with your question. I'm excited to see that you'll be visiting Walt Disney World later this year. I love visiting in December because all of the parks are dressed up in their holiday bests and it is just so festive.
Brian, Guests are able to make
advanced dining reservations 60 days prior to their check-in day. If you are checking in on December 4th, it looks like you'll be able to make your advanced dining reservations Tuesday, October 5th. You can make dining reservations online starting at 6:00 a.m. Mickey Mouse's time or over the phone starting at 7:00 a.m. by calling 407-WDW-DINE. You are able to make your advanced dining reservations for the length of your stay up to 10 days.
Several
character meals have returned to Walt Disney World and I anticipate even more opening back up before your trip at the end of the year. The character meals that are currently accepting reservations are Chef Mickey's, Garden Grill, Hollywood & Vine, Topolino's Terrace - Flavor's of the Riviera and Tusker House Restaurant. A character breakfast is such a fun way to start the day. My two favorites from the ones that are currently available are the character meals at Tusker House Restaurant and Topolino's Terrace - Flavor's of the Riviera. I did want to mention that character meals are looking a little bit different these days. Characters no longer come by each table for individual pictures and autographs. Instead, characters a waving, dancing and posing for pictures from a distance to keep everyone safe during this unprecedented time. It's still a lot of fun and truth be told, I've actually gotten some of the best pictures I've ever taken with Minnie Mouse with her posing in the background of one of my selfies. Things could change between now and your trip but I did want to make you aware of how things are currently working.
I hope this helps, Brian. If you have any other questions before your trip, please don't hesitate to come back and
ask me. I'm here to help.
Enjoy!
