    Heading to Disney 2/24 for the Proncess half and planning to hit the parks friday & saturday before the race. Most running websites I visit recommend taking it easy the days leading up to the run. Will walking the parks have an impact on finsih time?

    Hi Adrienne!  That is a great question!  I am not sure about your goal for the race.  Maybe if you were wanting to set a PR, then I would take it easy the day before.  However, I have run in five runDisney half marathons.  Four of them came after a day of park exploration, and one of them came after a day of resting around my room.  The race that I rested for was actually my slowest time of the races!  Everyone is different and each day that I run, I feel different.  Sometimes I feel like I could go on forever, and sometimes I wonder if it will ever end!  Walking around the parks should not affect your race too much either way.  I would try and get to bed at a decent hour the night before the race.  But, I think the most important part is watching your diet while at the parks.  Definitely remember that you will be running 13.1 miles the next day, so eating 4 tacos and 6 churros probably wouldn't be a great idea.  You can do that Sunday night!  Hope to see you there!
