    We are heading to Disney next weekend 1/19 for the following week and will leave on 1/26. I have checked the advance weather forecast and noticed some rain. It could change but I am wondering what the park policies are when it rains as far as being open?

    WDW parks will remain open during rain unless severe weather such as a hurricane is in the immediate forecast.

    Test Track and outdoor roller coasters will typically close in the rain. All outdoor rides will close in the event of lightning.

    You will find attractions in all of the parks that can be enjoyed while waiting out the rain, although Animal Kingdom probably has the fewest indoor opportunities. Take a lightweight rain jacket, an extra pair of shoes and fast drying socks in your luggage.

    Finally, we have found heading out to the parks immediately after a torrential rain storm is a great time to enjoy low crowds while guests are still relaxing at their hotels. Enjoy your vacation!
