We will be heading to Disney in June 2014 for our first time. We have two children, ages 5 & 8. We heard dinner at 'Ohana was fabulous, but the only reservation we were able to get was at 8:30. Will we be able to see fireworks at this time?

    Kristie:

You're right that 'Ohana sports a menu that makes it one of the most sought-after reservations at Disney. Its all-you-can-eat service of skewered shrimp, chicken, steak, and pork ranks it a favorite in our family, too. Best of all, your children will be the right age to enjoy the restaurant's coconut races!

The Magic Kingdom's fireworks show, Wishes, does not have a set time each night. Because I don't know your exact date in June, let me recommend that you take a peak at the park's calendar here for the date you have your 'Ohana reservations to see if the fireworks will begin within an hour of your reservation. If so, you're likely to see the restaurant dim its lights and pipe in the accompanying music to highlight the fireworks.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
