Hi, we are heading to Disney for the first time February 2nd - Feb 8th. Can you give me an idea on what to expect as far as the weather goes in February. I am struggling with packing more shorts and t shirts or pants. Thanks....

Hi Kim!  Welcome to the Moms Panel!  If only we all had a crystal ball-boy, it would sure help when we're trying to figure out which clothes to pack during the winter months in Florida!  The weather in February at Walt Disney World is typically temperate with high's in the low 70's and lows around 50.  That combination makes for difficult packing for sure-you will definitely need to bring some pants as well as your shorts.  As for tops, I would say layering is the key.  T-shirts worn with a jacket in the morning and again in the evenings.  Florida has been enjoying some warmer than normal temperatures recently, so maybe that pattern will hold out for your trip!  I would recommend consulting a reliable source, like Weather.com just prior to your vacation for the most up-to-date forecast.

One thing we always do-visit your local dollar store and pick up some plastic rain ponchos for the entire family. They sure come in handy during one of those unexpected Florida rain showers, and are quite a bit cheaper than purchasing one in the parks.  We just throw ours into a backpack and carry that to the parks with us each day.  If you need to use them, after the rain stops, shake them off and fold them up for use another day.

I hope that all your days are sunshine filled and truly magical during your first visit to Walt Disney World!  Please feel free to ask me any more questions you may think of before your trip.
