We are heading to Disney early July with an 8 year old girl. Wondering about dining in Hollywood studios. We have the Disney dining plan. I saw the fantastic dining package. How exactly does that work and would that be covered under our dining plan?

    Hi Crystal!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

I'm happy to hear you're interested in the Fantasmic! Dining Package at Disney's Hollywood Studios. With the dining package, you'll enjoy a delicious meal (entree, dessert and nonalcoholic beverage, or one full buffet, depending on the venue), and a voucher for guaranteed seating at the show. Pricing depends on which restaurant you choose, and all three venues accept the Disney Dining Plan. Mama Melrose's and Hollywood and Vine require one Table Service entitlement, and The Hollywood Brown Derby requires two Table Service entitlements.

Fantasmic! is one of my family's favorite shows at Walt Disney World Resort's theme parks. The storyline takes you into Mickey Mouse's dreams, as Disney Villains do their best to turn them into nightmares. With pyrotechnics, laser lights, and dancing water, Mickey battles the Villains with the power of his imagination. The finale features more Disney Characters than I can count - it's such a fun experience!

Your seating voucher, which you'll receive at the conclusion of your meal, guarantees you a seat in a special reserved section in the amphitheater. Seats within the section are not assigned, but are first-come, first-served. Cast Members will begin seating guests in the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater up to 90 minutes before show time. Guests with reserved seating vouchers are asked to arrive at the entrance (next to Beauty and the Beast  - Live on Stage) no later than 25 minutes prior to the show.

I hope this helps with your planning. Please let us know if you have more questions as your vacation dates get closer. Have a magical day! - Diane W.
