Shake your tail feathers and tickle those ivories, Kimberly! I think I have just the dance card your grown up kids are looking for! In and around the Boardwalk of Disney’s Boardwalk Resort (adjacent to Disney’s Yacht club and Beach Club Resorts) are the toe-tapping, jiving scenes of the Atlantic Dance Hall and Jellyrolls!
I would recommend that your kids venture off to enjoy dinner at
Trattoria al Forno, or another Boardwalk offering. The dinners there are delicious, and all the more fun with a Boardwalk Atmosphere. After dinner, tell them to walk into
Jellyrolls, a dueling piano bar that typically opens at 7pm, where guests 21+ can toast each other and enjoy the dueling piano wackiness and music! After enjoying that for a couple of hours, they will want to get moving, so tell them to visit the
Atlantic Dance Hall, just down the “road,” open (once again) to the 21+ crowd. There, your kids can boogie to hits from the 80s all the way to today’s Top 40. If they need a breather, they can step out and check out the lake that stretches all around the Boardwalk to the surrounding resorts. Who knows, perhaps Ice Cream from
Ample Hills Creamery is on the calendar that night, too? I adore everything the Boardwalk has to offer; even after the stars come out, there’s still plenty to do!
I hope you enjoy your extended family vacation, and if we can help you with other vacation activities, please let us know! If you need me, ’ll be re-learning my favorite piano songs… maybe I can get up there and duel along with the other pianists! ~ Lindsey P.
