We are going to be heading out on a Disney Cruise here end of June and the information is really confusing? How do the handle the dress code of "No Shorts" at Dinner? We are from Washington and it is hot down there.

    Hi George!

I'm very excited to hear that you'll be enjoying the high seas aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship!  You will love it!

Regarding wearing shorts to dinner: although it isn't the preferred cruise wear, you won't have an issue wearing dress shorts to dinner on cruise casual nights (especially your first and last dinners).  You mention that it's hot...that won't be an issue.  The cruise ship is completely air conditioned, and typically is much cooler (inside and outside) during the evenings.  I always have a sweater or wrap with me onboard the ship at night, so pants really won't be uncomfortable to wear.

I hope this helps.  Please let me know if I can answer anything else for you.  Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel.  Bon voyage George!

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
