Hi - we are heading to Disney in a couple of days and will be celebrating our daughter's 5th birthday. Do you have any great ideas to share with me to make this a really special birthday.

    Hello Jennifer,

Your Princess is definitely in for a real treat for her fifth birthday if you are spending it at Disney World!

But like all good Moms, you want to ensure your daughter has the best birthday ever. Taking her to the happiest place on Earth is a great start! But here are a few things I would do as the icing on the cake:
    • What little girl doesn't love ice cream? How about treating her to a huge sundae at Ghirardelli's at Downtown Disney?
    • Stop by Fairytale Garden in Magic Kingdom so your daughter can meet Rapunzel and Flynn Rider. Arrive before the scheduled meet-and-greet time and your Princess may get a chance to dance and sing with the characters!
    • Every Princess deserves a horse and carriage so why not take her for a ride along the Sassagoula River? The half hour horse-drawn ride costs $45 and can be booked by calling 407-WDW-PLAY.
    • Make sure you pick up a complimentary celebration button at Guest Services when you arrive. Tell your daughter to wear the pin proudly throughout your visit. It lets everyone know about her big day. You never know what Pixie Dust they may be able to share.
Nothing is more magical than spending your birthday at Disney. Your Princess is one lucky girl! Happy birthday to her! Have a great trip!

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
