Aloha Caitlin, welcome to
planDisney!
Thanks so much for popping by with an excellent question about MagicBands at
Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. My family fell in love with Aulani last January when we visited for our first time and we all dream about when we might be able to return next!
Great news, Caitlin, yes, you can pack your MagicBand in your suitcase so you can use it during your stay on Oahu! I brought my MagicBand+ with me and while it was still a newer offering then, I could still use it for various offerings around the resort. I used it mostly to open the door to our Villa but I was also able to use it for payment at
Pāpālua Shave Ice (once my daughters discovered shave ice here, they became regulars!). If you have a MagicBand+, you may notice that lights up at various points throughout the resort such as in the Main lobby or around the
Waikolohe Valley Pool area.
If you don't yet have a MagicBand, head over to
Kālepa's Store near the Main Lobby. Here, you'll find a variety of MagicBand+ available for purchase. As a DVC Member, you'll receive a discount when you show your digital DVC Membership card. You can also check out the latest and greatest DVC
offers and benefits on the DVC website.
Tip: When you're enjoying your stay at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, don't miss out on the
Pau Hana Room - Community Hall. This game room offers an abundance of activities, amenities, and entertainment for everyone! It's also where you can sign up for daily activities (schedule subject to change), such as the enchanting
Menehune Adventure Trail (a favorite of my family, especially at night when you might experience some extra magic), crafting your own Aulani-inspired Mickey Ears, taking ‘ukulele lessons, and participating in Kāpala Ki'i - a fun t-shirt stamping activity. Additionally, I highly recommend consulting the
Daily ‘Iwa, which outlines the week's events and activities, allowing you to plan your stay more effectively. This resour
ce lists Character meet-up times and locations, feeding sessions at
Rainbow Reef, as well as any beach activities suitable for your family to enjoy.
Caitlin, I hope this information is helpful to your vacation planning. Please
let me know if you have any other questions!
