Jambo Melissa,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You’ll be working on your roar at
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort next month, and I’m so excited for you. My family stayed there last spring, and we loved our stay in a The Little Mermaid Standard Room – my son adores Ursula, and it made his day every single morning as we walked out of the room and waved good morning to the towering sea witch before heading out for a day of fun.
Coffee makers are not a standard amenity at
Walt Disney World value resorts; in fact, as of right now, you’ll find them only in rooms at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, select rooms at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, and in the family suites. As rooms are refurbished, it looks like Disney does plan to add coffee makers (making many Guests’ wishes come true), which is great news!
Complimentary coffee is not available at this time, but if you plan to drink coffee daily on your vacation, you may want to consider purchasing a Resort Refillable Mug at the
Landscape of Flavors Food Court. For one price (which is currently $18.99, though this is subject to change), you’ll get a fun, Disney-themed insulated mug, which can be refilled as many times as you wish at any Walt Disney World Resort Quick-Service location (resorts only – the mug cannot be refilled in the theme parks). This mug can be filled with coffee, tea, and fountain sodas. You can also purchase coffee a la carte, or wait and purchase Starbucks or Joffrey’s coffee in the theme parks.
You
will find coffee makers in the Family Suites at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, along with a microwave. If you’d like to use a toaster, you’ll need to visit Landscape of Flavors, where toasters are available for Guests to use. If you’re wondering which amenities are included in any of Walt Disney World Resort’s hotel rooms, you can visit the
Room Rates tab on the resort’s web pages, and click “View Amenities” for a full list.
Have the best time this
summer at Walt Disney World Resort, Melissa! There are so many fun
treats available to commemorate The Lion King’s 25th anniversary (plus the release of the new live action version), and I hope you and your have a
Hakuna Matata time, dancing, singing, and playing every day together in The Most Magical Place on Earth!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
