We are heading to Disney Aug 12-19 and staying off property,no hopper passes. Is there a place you can go to watch the fireworks without being in one of the parks? We have 2 days where we won't be at a park and would love to watch some. Any suggestions?

    Hi Heather,

I have a some of suggestions for you to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks without having to be in the Magic Kingdom.  You can take the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage from the Contemporary Resort.  You will meet and greet Captain Hook and Mr. Smee and have some snack before boarding your boat to see the fireworks in the middle of the Seven Seas Lagoon.  It is such a fun cruise, and the view is spectacular!   You could make reservations at the California Grill at the Contemporary for a late dinner then watch the fireworks from the observation deck.  Ohana at the Polynesian Resort is another restaurant that you can see the fireworks from during a late dinner as well.   If you are wanting to explore Ft. Wilderness Campground, go to the boat dock to the Magic Kingdom and ride the boat across to the Magic Kingdom around the time the fireworks are going off.  It is such a beautiful view! You can also view them from the beach at Ft. Wilderness Campground.  Finally you can ride the Monorail around and see the fireworks as well.  Please let me know if I can help you further plan your vacation, Heather!
