Heading to Disney in April 2013. Have the Premium Dining Plan. Pretty sure preferred seating for Wishes at MK is included. Can you please tell me more about the seating and how I make reservations for it? Thank you!

Hi Lynda! It sounds like you will be planning the vacation of a lifetime with the Premium Plan in place. My family used to use what they called the Grand Plan years ago and we felt like royalty the entire trip. You have some great options between dining and then recreation and I am sure you will fill your days with both.

Disney has done some preferred viewing for both the Illuminations show and Wishes in the Magic Kingdom. Apparently it is not something you make a reservation for but instead will receive a ticket in your check-in packet that will allow you to use this area during your trip.  The reviews for the Illuminations area have been good with one spot mentioned being near the Morocco boat launch. The reviews for the Magic Kingdom viewing area have been very adamantly poor.  All advice is to avoid the roped off area near the Plaza restaurant and go a bit early and find a good spot on Main Street on your own. Comments have included that two large trees hamper your castle view and lighting was never dimmed or turned off so the effect of the show was hampered. I have not done this special viewing but have done the VIP area which is on the bridge heading to Liberty Square.

When you are welcomed at check-in please go over this with the cast member. Because so many guests have shared their dislike of the Magic Kingdom area perhaps they have changed this.
