Welcome aboard, Mary!
That time has come and your date with Captain Mickey and his crew is here. As you enjoy all the magical details of what's included in your Disney Cruise, I'm sure you are ready to make magical vacation memories with your own crew.
Gratuities are always highly appreciated by the cast members servicing you while on your voyage. You'll notice the attention to detail and excellent service that these wonderful members of the crew extend to all their guests. I like to keep a few dollar bills handy for tips when room service delivery arrives. Since room service is free 24 hours a day, I customarily give $1-$2 to the server delivering those in between meals and Mickey Ice Cream bars. If you didn't have enough time to get some loose bills, don't worry - you can just include it on your bill.
You will surely experience the difference the crew makes as you dine with them at
Palo. The food in itself is a gastronomic experience, and the service is just impeccable! I never miss out on making a visit to Palo on every Disney Cruise that we've been on. It is such an extra special treat, and is a must do either for dinner or for brunch on a sea day. As far as the gratuity for your dining server at Palo, I usually stick to $10-$15 per person ($20 - $30 per couple). You are welcome to add more of course, if you feel like it. Whenever we go out to a fine dining restaurant, that's what we are used to leaving as a tip anyway. As you already know, there is a $25 per person dining charge to dine at Palo (either Dinner or Brunch). The tip will be on top of that.
Have an awesome voyage!
Bon voyage,
~ Dolly
