Heading to a cruise in a couple days and got six magic bands. After charging 4 of the bands had green lights all around the outside but 2 only had green lights on the bottom right corner? Are those two bands going to be a problem?

    Ahoy, Jim!

How exciting – your Disney Cruise Line vacation, and a Very Merrytime Cruise at that, is nearly here! Only one more sleep ‘til you sail! I’m happy to help you understand the light indicators on your new DisneyBand+ to use onboard.

You'll be pleased to know that you can just keep swimming, as ANY green indicator is a positive sign that this special band is charged and ready to go. I’ve noticed my own bands have different displays of the full border or part of it lit up, but in my experience it’s the green-yellow-red indication that matters. Please see a few common questions about the DisneyBand+ charging process on the Disney Cruise Line website. Be sure to pack these special bands in your carry-on bag during travel so you can wear them for a seamless port arrival experience for your family.

Once onboard, you’ll be able to see the charging levels of your bands while in use in your Disney Cruise Line Navigator App which should give you more confidence of their readiness around the ship. Your DisneyBand+ is waterproof, so you can keep wearing it during all your fun water activities onboard too. I advise you to charge them each night to be sure they are fully ready and can provide all the great functionality that these new bands promise during your cruise.

I hope you have the most magical time on this holiday sailing, Jim! Thanks for thinking of planDisney for your last-minute question. If you need any further support onboard regarding your DisneyBand+, please ask a friendly crew member. These are a new exciting way to enhance your vacation, but there are no silly questions when it comes to wearable tech so please ask if you’re in a jam onboard.

Wishing you smooth seas and holiday memories to cherish,
    Amy
