Heading to Cozumel on Fantasy! Do you know how many people are taken on the "Ultimate Snorkeling by Yacht" Excursion? Looking for a less crowded snorkeling excursion that will take us to see the reef.

    Hi Julie!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  Your FANTAStic Disney Cruise Line vacation will be here before you know it and I am sure you are busy getting everything planned so that you just have to show up and enjoy it all!  It appEARs that you have set sail with Captain Mickey before, so as a Castaway Club member, you know exactly how much fun awaits you onboard, but I am sure this voyage will be different with family members coming along for the fun!  We were finally able to convince my parents and my sister’s family to join us on a voyage earlier this year and we all had the best time!  My boys loved showing everyone around the ship and we all made some long-lasting memories!

Wow!  That snorkeling excursion looks like a great one!  While I find myself not ever interested in going snorkeling, my husband will often look into those excursions and now that my boys are older, he finally has someone interested in joining him!  And I will be perfectly happy staying on the boat while they snorkel and explore life “under the sea”!  I checked with a Disney Cruise Line Cast Member and unfortunately, they have no way of knowing how many Guests are on each excursion – nor the number that it is capped at.  So, I did a little more resEARch on snorkeling excursions in Cozumel and noticed that most tour operators limit their boats to a maximum of 20-24 people.  So, while I don’t know exactly which tour operator will be handling this Port Adventure, there is a good chance it will be around those numbers.  But, also be aware that Disney Cruise Line could book several boats so the entire excursion may be larger, but each boat is capped at a certain number!

If you are looking for a more personalized tour, you can always look into booking an adventure on your own.  There are many tour guides that have specific itineraries to choose from OR you can create your own!  When my family traveled with us earlier this year, we opted for a private tour to ensure we were all together and were able to do and see exactly what we wanted to!  Often, they can meet you at the cruise port or arrange transportation to their starting point, too!

Wishing you the best vacation ever, Julie!  Please come back with any other questions you may have!

    Happy Sailing!
