We will be heading to beach club ( deluxe studio) Only ten days to go , can you tell me tell me some great ideas for our grown up trip ??? We have r aervations at shula's for dinner -- how is the dress code there and how is the food ?

Hello, Colleen, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m glad to hEAR your grown up vacation is just around the corner. I’ve have several “adults only” trips to Walt Disney World Resort and they are actually my favorite (shhh… don’t tell my kids)!

Staying at Disney’s Boardwalk Inn is going to afford you some great grown-up opportunities! You’ll be steps away from the International Gateway entrance to Epcot, which will drop you into the World Showcase and all it’s amazing food and drink. The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival starts 8/31/17, which means lots to try and plenty to sip. After feasting, take on some thrill rides like Test Track and Soarin’ or chill out in Spaceship Earth as you travel through time. You should also have your group enjoy Disney’s Animal Kingdom after dark, when the Tree of Life comes alive and you can watch Pandora glow in the wee hours.  Park Hop over to Magic Kingdom to watch the gorgeous Happily Ever After fireworks show and the Once Upon a Time Projection show.

As for that awesome dinner, you’ll love Shula’s at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels. They are known for their steak cuts, huge lobster tail entrees and decadent desserts. Make sure you get a few for the table to share… that’s how I get to try more than one thing! If I dress for dinner at Shula’s I wear a sundress or very dark denim, wedges, and a nicely pressed blouse. Men often wear khakis, dark denim, collared shirts, etc. Just like many fine dining restaurants, they may not allow tank tops, hats, or torn clothing. Relax, enjoy, and have fun on your grown up trip! ~ Lindsey P.
