Hi, Michael! Welcome to planDisney, and welcome back to
Walt Disney World Resort!
How exciting that you'll be visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth for the first time in forever! A lot has changed over the past 12 years, and I think you're going to have an amazing vacation filled with lots of magical new experiences. It sounds to me like you're asking about booking
DAS Advance experiences. I would be happy to explain more about the
Disability Access Service (DAS) program.
Disability Access Service (DAS) is an accommodation intended for Guests who, due to a disability, cannot tolerate waiting in a traditional queue environment. If you or a member of your travel party has a disability that makes waiting in a queue difficult, you can discuss your situation with a Cast Member to see if DAS would be a good fit for your specific needs. You can speak to a Cast Member at
Guest Relations about registering for DAS once you arrive at one of the Walt Disney World theme parks, or if you would prefer to pre-register for DAS, you may do so 2 to 30 days before your theme park visit. This DAS pre-registration takes place via a live video chat with a Cast Member.
You can click on this link to
learn more about the DAS pre-registration process. After reading through the information, you'll come to a "Terms and Conditions" button that you must click on to review and accept the Terms and Conditions. Once you have done this, scroll down a bit further and you will see a button that says "Request Live Video Chat." When you click on this button, you will be redirected to a chat window. Please be aware that the wait to be connected with a Cast Member for your video chat can be quite long, so you'll want to plan accordingly. It is also worth mentioning that if you are registering another person in your travel party for DAS, that person will need to be present with you during the video chat.
If you pre-register for DAS using the video chat, you will also have the opportunity to select two DAS Advance experiences per day, based on availability. The Cast Member you are working with will be able to tell you which attractions they were able to book for you and at what times. Once they are booked, you can also view these DAS Advance selections in the "Future Plans" section of your
My Disney Experience mobile app. These DAS Advance experiences are in addition to DAS ride return times that you will be able to make once you are at the theme parks. Please be advised that only Guests who pre-register for DAS via video chat will be able to book the DAS Advance selections. These experiences are not available when you register for DAS in person during your park visit.
Michael, I hope this information helps to answer your question. If I misinterpreted what you were asking, or if you have questions about any other aspect of your vacation, please visit us at planDisney again.
Have a magical day!
Samantha
