Heading back to Disney World in just 18 days! I'm preordering our meal for Be Our Guest at lunch. As an adult, can I order off the children's menu if i like an option better or just want a smaller portion? Can I do this at any restaurant?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Emily! I'm glad you stopped by.

Isn't it amazing to see how ordering food at Walt Disney World Resort is evolving? Not terribly long ago, order-ahead dining became available at fantastic establishments like Be Our Guest Restaurant, and now, mobile ordering is spreading to restaurants throughout the Disney theme parks and Disney Springs. It's an exciting time to be a Walt Disney World Resort guest!

With the exception of restaurants that offer buffets or serve meals family-style, yes, an adult is welcome to order an item from the children's menu if that choice better suits his or her taste. I have been with friends who have done that several times and it was never a problem.

Your vacation is fast approaching. You must be so excited! Please let us know if you have any additional questions about your upcoming trip. We'd love to help.

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Jill
