Heading back to Disney in April with husband and "almost" 11 and 13 yr old girl and boy. Have stayed at Value Resorts before. Thinking of other fun resorts and other things to try for their age. Any suggestions?

    Hi Kathleen!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.

If you are ready to move up to a Disney Moderate Resort, I would suggest staying at Port Orleans Riverside.  I love that resort and it has a great pool area for tweens and teenagers.  It also has a nice food court and boat service to Downtown Disney, which is a fun and relaxing way to get there, especially at night.

Of course you could also move up to a Disney Deluxe Resort.  They are all fabulous though my favorites are:
    • Wilderness Lodge
    • Polynesian Resort
    • Beach Club
    • Animal Kingdom Lodge
    • Contemporary Resort

For a unique activity, you might try the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage, which is a lot of fun for the whole family.  You also might want to rent Sea Raycers, which are small boats.  It's best to rent them at a Magic Kingdom resort as that would allow you to explore Seven Seas Lagoon or Bay Lake.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
