Hi there Kevin,
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for asking a question about
Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa - it's a piece of paradise! The word "Aulani" means "messenger of a chief" and while you're visiting, you'll discover the many legends of the Hawaiian islands. Located on the beautiful island of O'ahu, this Disney Vacation Club Resort is stunning with its Contemporary Hawaiian art and design sprinkled throughout the resort. My family travelled to the resort last year and we loved everything about it!
My daughters love wearing their
MagicBands when visiting Walt Disney World Resort and they were very excited to bring them on our trip to Aulani. Your MagicBands will work like they do at Walt Disney World Resort. When you arrive, you’ll find that your MagicBand is super convenient - it can unlock your Villa door, give you pool access, and charge purchases once linked to your hotel account (perfect for picking up a Mickey Shave Ice after a swim in the
Waikolohe Pool!). If you have a MagicBand+, you might see it light up and vibrate at various spots around the resort.
During your stay at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, make sure to stop by the
Pau Hana Room - Community Hall! This fun-filled space offers a wide variety of activities, games, and entertainment for all ages. It’s also where you can sign up for daily activities (schedule subject to change), like the magical
Menehune Adventure Trail (a favorite evening activity for my family), creating your own Aulani-inspired Mickey Ears, ‘ukulele lessons, and Kāpala Ki‘i t-shirt stamping.
I also recommend checking out the
Daily ‘Iwa, which features all the week’s events and activities to help you make the most of your time at Aulani. Here, you’ll find Character meet-and-greet times, feeding times at
Rainbow Reef, and beach activities perfect for the whole family. My daughters loved the beach activities - we have so many memories!
I hope this information if helpful to your vacation planning, Kevin. I hope you have a wonderful holiday at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. If you have any other questions, please revisit us at
planDisney. We would love to assist!
A Hui Hou (it means "until we meet again" in Hawaiian),
