Hi Moms! Headed to the World May 23-28th! Just wondering if we have an 8:15am ADR at Epcot what is the best way to get there from Fort Wilderness Cabins? I am a little worried about getting there in plenty of time!

Hi Michelle!  It can be tricky heading to a park early for a dining reservation and Fort Wilderness does take extra planning.  On my recent visit I had a long discussion about the early buses from the resorts that take guests before opening so they can meet their reservation time. This is what was explained to me by the Transportation gurus at Disney.

Buses are to start at 6:30am from the resorts to the parks for the early breakfasts. If one has not come by 7am you can call the Bus Operation Center at 407-824-7092. They will be able to tell you immediately how far away a bus is from your location.  I always suggest you talk with the resort concierge the day before and ask them to verify to make sure rules have not changed or been altered. Since you will be staying in the cabins you will need to catch the early internal bus to the main bus area at the front of the resort or walk if your loop is close enough.  Your other option is to take a taxi. It is unlikely that any will be waiting at the front like other resorts but we call and it has only taken about ten minutes for one to come. The number for the Disney taxis is: 407-422-2222. If you have a large group make sure you let them know you need a taxi van and if you need car seats also let them know that. Personally, when it comes to making the early times we always drive or get a cab and it won't cost more then about $12-$15.

You will love Fort Wilderness. It is so peaceful and relaxing and a great place to come home to after days in the busy parks!
