Headed to WDW,next month. Our son just turned 5,in the past,we have brought a stroller.Dad hates lugging it on the buses, and said this year,he is big enough to walk.I'm worried he is still too small & will need it,the heat, cat naps. Thoughts, ideas?

    Hi there, Sandra!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I have three children, and my youngest is five years old. Our most recent trip to Walt Disney World Resort was the first time we braved the theme parks without a stroller! I have to tell you, Sandra, not having to worry about the stroller was really nice. From time to time, my husband did carry my daughter, but by and large, she walked (ran!) around the theme parks and had no problem keeping up with her sisters.

I have an idea for you, Sandra. If you leave your stroller at home and then decide you need a stroller for any reason at all, you can simply rent one at any of the theme parks or at Disney Springs. We have rented strollers many times, and I can tell you that the Stroller Rental process is easy and convenient. You can rent the stroller on a day-by-day basis or you can choose to do a "Length of Stay" rental. With the Length of Stay option, you pre-pay the number of days that you will require the stroller and you'll receive a discount. Then, upon visiting a theme park, you show your receipt to the Cast Member at the stroller rental location and you will receive your stroller for the day. You drop off your stroller as you leave the theme park, and you just show your receipt each subsequent day to receive a new stroller. There's no lugging strollers onto the buses with the stroller rental option! Knowing that you can easily rent a stroller for your son might give you some peace of mind.

I hope you and your family have a wonderful trip to Walt Disney World Resort. Please stop back again and let me know if you have any other questions about your upcoming trip.

    Wishing you many magical memories!
