Headed to WDW 9/5/11 - trying to book Tomorrowland Dessert Party but reservations are unavailable. I called Dine # and one person said it may be closed? Any other reccomendations away from crowds for 7mo pregnant mommy, 5yr, 2yr, hubbie & 2 seniors?

    Andrea,

Although there is no guarantee, reservations for the Tomorrowland Dessert Party tend to open up about 60 days in advance of the given party dates. My family is watching for October dates to open up as well.

If for some reason, you are still unable to book the Dessert Party, try watching the fireworks from in front of Crystal Palace at the end of Main Street (to the left of the stroller parking). Or for an even quieter experience, head to Frontierland and watch from the bridge near the river. I've also watched from in front of the Briar Patch store near Splash Mountain. Inside the store, you'll find a cozy rocking chair if you need to escape inside with your youngest child. Sometimes the noise from the fireworks can upset small children.

If you aren't worried about being so close to the show, an ideal location would be from the beach at the Polynesian Resort. The kids could play in the sand while waiting for the fireworks. Music from the show is piped in!

Best wishes to you and your family for a magical vacation!
