We are headed to WDW next week and have been hearing "talk" that the train that goes around the Magic Kingdom is not operating. Is this true? Thank you.

    Hello, Jim!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

It's a pleasure to answer your question because I love the Walt Disney World Railroad! I love it so much that I even stopped by to take a picture on the last time I visited Magic Kingdom Park

One of the vintage trains is currently on display at the Main Street U.S.A. station so that fans like you and I can take pictures and enjoy the locomotive even if we're not using it as transportation inside the Theme Park. The Walt Disney World Railroad is not currently circling Magic Kingdom Park, but the visit to the Main Street U.S.A. station is well worth it!

I also can't wait to hear the whistle, hop on the train and ride it again, Jim. In a way, the Walt Disney World Railroad makes me feel like I'm visiting an imaginary Marceline and seeing the world through Walt's eyes, even if for 20 minutes or so. To be among the first to know when it is back on its tracks, keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog. They're always the first to share great news about the Walt Disney World Resort.

In the meantime, you can enjoy the Resort Monorail and the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, for example. Both attractions are super cool!

I hope that you enjoy your upcoming vacation, Jim! If more questions pop up before the adventure begins, please, come back. We love to help kind Guests like you!

May the magic be with you,

    Julie
