We are headed to WDW in March for a week. I am trying to get an itenirary together so I can get the most out of our stay. We will have 4-5 day park hopper tickets. My son is 6 and I am curious what rides you suggest for him.

Hi Peggi - Congrats on your upcoming trip!  March is a great time to travel to Walt Disney World.

I have a five and a seven year old, so I have a good feel for which attractions work well for that age range.  I'd probably recommend that you spend one morning at the Animal Kingdom, two days at the Magic Kingdom, one day at Hollywood Studios, and one and a half days at Epcot if you have five days on your pass.

Here are some of the attractions my kids like:

Animal Kingdom: Kilimanjaro Safari, TriceraTop Spin, Expedition Everest, and Dinosaur
Magic Kingdom: Splash Mountain, The Haunted Mansion, it's a small world, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, the Magic Carpets of Aladdin, Mickey's Philharmagic, and Pirates of the Caribbean
Epcot: Spaceship Earth, the Gran Fiesta Tour, Soarin', Test Track, the Sea with Nemo and Friends, Turtle Talk with Crush, and Journey Into Imagination with Figment
Hollywood Studios: Star Tours, Toy Story Mania, Muppet Vision 3D, Tower of Terror

I hope that helps!  Have a great vacation!
