We are headed to WDW the last week in April with our child who has autism. What can we expect from the crowds and do you have tips for the day? We promised him the fireworks is it worth it to do the Terrace Restaurant dessert package & how much is it

    Hey Debbie!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Mom Panel! Thank you for bringing us your questions.

The crowds at Walt Disney World usually starts thinning from the rolling school breaks during the last weekend of April. For crowd information, I always referred to EasyWDW's crowd calendar. If you Google "April 2014 Walt Disney World Crowd Calendar" it should be one of the first links to come up. Their recommendations have been spot on every time we have visited.

I highly recommend the Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party. I have been several times with my family. Not only do you get fabulous desserts, you get an amazing, crowd-free view of Celebrate the Magic castle projection show and Wishes Nighttime Spectacular without having to jockey for a position.

You should also know Walt Disney World has a wonderful program to assist guest with cognitive disabilities. Check out the linked guide which will provide information of things such as transportation, attraction details, and other trip planning strategies.

If hope this information helps you plan a magical Disney vacation. If you have any other questions please come back and see me.

    Have a pixie-dusted day!
