We are headed to WDW is January 2021. I have a 13 year old and an 11 year old and I am wondering if they will still be able to order off the kid's menu at table service restaurants? Also, do we have the option to share entree's? Thanks so much!

Hello, Julie! Welcome back to planDisney!

I am such a light eater sometimes, especially when there is so much fun to be had! I have ordered off the children's menu for myself at Walt Disney World Resort Table Service and Quick Service Restaurants. I have also shared dishes with others who are dining with me. My husband or one of my boys would often be hungry, and two of us aren't. Splitting a meal is a perfect solution when I want to order off the adult menu and I know I won't eat it all - I hate wasting food! Please keep in mind some dining locations will not allow you to share plates and all Guests 10-years-old and above will pay the adult price regardless of what they eat. A few examples of these locations are the buffets, family-style restaurants, and Character meals. When in doubt, be sure to ask your server before ordering.

Now I am getting hungry! Julie, be sure to have your My Disney Experience App downloaded and ready to go for your stay. You will need this smartphone app to be able to place Mobile Food & Beverage orders. My family and I will browse the menus of participating Quick Service dining locations and decide where and what we will eat while waiting to enjoy our favorite attractions and place our order. After we ride and arrive at the restaurant, we let them know we are there and ready to eat with a push of a button on my smartphone. It is so easy and saves us so much valuable Theme Park time!

    Have a magical day, Julie!

Meet the Panelist: Rachel, Wisconsin

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
