We are headed to WDW over Christmas..... coming from Toronto. What is the best driving route? Also what are the top 10 things a mom should know about going to Disney with two kids under 5? Thanks

Hi Sara! We drive often down to Walt Disney World from northern Indiana either with our dogs or our motor coach. From our location it is about an 18 hour drive and I believe it would be about 20-22 hours from Toronto.

Basically I can give you some directions but it is best to get on line to print out the exact ones as there are tweaks and turns from the general idea I can give you here. Always be aware of the weather across the United States at this time of year too. Checking it before you head out will make your drive safer and more enjoyable for all. When we drive we always pick a spot to stop for the night and make reservations ahead of time. We have seen many travelers having to be turned away when weather turns bad. The following is just a guide:

Cross to the States toward Buffalo and take I-90 S. Then take I-90 W into Pennsylvania. Follow 79 S toward Pittsburgh then follow into West Virginia. Take US19 S. Take I-77 S into South Carolina. Get on I-95 S through Georgia and into Florida toward Daytona Beach. Finally hit I-4 to Orlando and follow signs to Walt Disney World!
