Hi, Jamie!
Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is only a couple of months away! I am so excited for you! Choosing the theme parks in which to spend your time is really a matter of personal preference. I would recommend you do some resEARch on the Walt Disney World website to see what each park has to offer in terms of attractions and entertainment. You can figure out your family's must-dos and plan your time accordingly.
When my family visits the Walt Disney World Resort, we usually spend two days at
Magic Kingdom Park and one full day at each of the other three theme parks. Keep in mind that if you add the Park Hopper option to your
tickets, you will be able to visit more than one park in a single day. With young children, I think you will want a full day at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. If you do decide to park hop, a visit to
Epcot and
Disney's Hollywood Studios could easily be combined into one day. These two parks are just a quick boat ride from each other.
Like you, I am also the parent of a child with autism. Be sure to familiarize yourself with Walt Disney World's
Disability Services prior to your trip. My son utilizes Disability Access Service on our vacations. I can tell you from personal experience, Walt Disney World Resort does a wonderful job of making the magic accessible to all guests.
Please visit us again if you have any additional questions. See ya real soon!
