Oh boy, Rebecca! What a very special visit you have coming up to the Happiest Place on Earth - and so soon! Thank you for reaching out to planDisney with this very thoughtful question! I can't wait to chat with you about some birthday celebration ideas for your husband!
Because every Guest has their own preferences, I'll share with you how I'd celebrate my husband's birthday in Disneyland, to hopefully spark an idea for you - which would definitely be signature drinks at Oga's Cantina followed by building his own custom droid or lightsaber in a galaxy far, far away.
Oga's Cantina in Galaxy's Edge is one of my husband's favorite dining locations in all of Disneyland Resort for its atmosphere and unique dining experience - the specialty concoctions are also out of this world! Oga's Cantina accepts
advance dining reservations however, reservations aren't required! You can join the walk-up list on the day of your visit by selecting "Join Walk-Up List" in the
Disneyland app, when you are nearby.
While you're adventuring in Batuu, your husband might want to create his very own custom BB-series at the
Droid Depot or lightsaber at
Savi's Workshop for a birthday gift like none other!
Reservations are required for Savi's Workshop however no reservations are needed at the Droid Depot! Your husband can just roll right in and get to work on his new droid-pal! Beep Bop Boop!
One last idea, if you’re staying at one of the
Disneyland Resort Hotels, is to rent a poolside cabana to enjoy during an afternoon break. Your husband will surely feel like royalty on his special day.
Tip: During your time in the parks, Rebecca, make sure to grab complimentary celebratory buttons for your husband and daughter! They can be found at City Hall on Main Street in Disneyland Park or the Chamber of Commerce on Buena Vista Street in California Adventure. You may also ask a Cast Member in any of the shops, too, and they'll usually be able to point you in the right direction to find yourself a celebratory button. It's so fun to hear those "Happy Birthdays" all visit long!
Well, Rebecca, I hope this has been helpful for you in your planning, and that you have the most magical visit to Disneyland. But, even more than that, I sincerely wish your husband and daughter the happiest of celebrations - but of course they will, because they've got you! I also hope you'll be able to sprinkle in a little magic for yourself too, Rebecca, because YOU are the magic!
If you have any other questions or would like some additional tips on celebrations in Disneyland, like how to experience the magic of
Disneyland's 70th Celebration, don't hesitate to
reach out to me anytime! I'm happy to help and always love a party!
Warmest wishes,
McCayla
