Hi Heather! Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for taking the time to personally send me your question. I'm thrilled to help you!
The
Holidays at the Walt Disney World Resort are one of the most wonderful and truly magical times of the year to visit! Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT happen to be my favorite theme parks and this is a good problem to have! I'm happy to give you advice on how you could plan a one-day visit.
One option would be to visit
EPCOT, where your daughter will get to see her Frozen favorites. She can
Meet Anna and Elsa at Royal Sommerhus in Norway! Afterward, she can continue the Frozen fun by riding
Frozen Ever After. If you want to let her pick out a souvenir, you can find lots of Frozen merchandise at The Fjording, a shop you will enter upon exiting the ride. There are other fun attractions, such as
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure and
Soarin' Around the World, to enjoy at this theme park. My kids always loved going to the
Kidcot Fun Stops and EPCOT also offers many other character experiences, great entertainment, and amazing dining options.
Another option would be to visit
Magic Kingdom Park for your one-day visit. You can look forward to enjoying many classic Disney attractions, character experiences, and fun entertainment. It will be harder to meet Anna and Elsa at Magic Kingdom during the holiday season, as they are usually off building a snowman. Their appearance is generally limited to Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade during
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, which is a separately ticketed event. If you choose to only visit Magic Kingdom Park, I wanted to point out that the park will be closing early on November 20th and 22nd, at 6:00 p.m., for the Christmas party.
A third option would be to purchase park hopper tickets and enjoy some time at both EPCOT and Magic Kingdom Park. This would be easy to do if you plan to drive to the Walt Disney World Resort from your family's local home. You can easily access both of these theme parks by parking at the Transportation and Ticket Center and using the
Walt Disney World Monorail System. No matter which option you choose, be sure to make
theme park reservations. I would also recommend purchasing
Disney Genie+ Service to help make the most of your time during your one-day visit. You can
learn more by watching these videos.
I hope my advice is helpful and gives you a better idea of how to spend your day when you visit. I'm wishing you a magical visit at The Most Magical Place on Earth! If you have more questions, I would love to help! Please feel free to send them to
me at planDisney.
Happy Planning!
Smiles,
Lisa
