Hi there, Vita!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your upcoming European sailing is just around the corner and I know you must be thrilled for all the fun that awaits you onboard and on land! I love repositioning cruises because you can bookend your cruise with extra adventures and sights in different countries!
My family recently visited Lisbon on the Eastbound Transatlantic sailing and it was one of my favorite stops on our sailing! It is such a great city with lots of rich culture and things to see and do during your time there! We did not visit Sintra, but the photos look breathtaking and seeing Portugal from the coastline would be a very different experience than the hustle and bustle of the city! Depending on the excursion’s departure and return times, you may have time to explore once you get back after the
excursion to Sintra. If you do get back with time to spare before “All Aboard”, I recommend grabbing a TukTuk (electric vehicle) or taxi outside the port and asking them to take you to Pasteis de Belem, the original bakery for the most incredible egg custard tarts. Spend some time looking around the bakery and enjoying the deliciousness of the tart!
Depending on where you are heading after you disembark in
Dover from your magical vacation, the train may be an excellent way to get where you are going! Since you will have all your luggage with you and if you are an overpacker like me, lugging bags around with young children is sometimes cumbersome and having a reserved car and driver is well worth it, so you may also consider a private transfer to your destination!
Wishing you a MAGICal vacation with an egg custard tart (or two)!!
Happy Sailing!
