We are headed to the Kingdom for my son's 2nd birthday in February. We have a large group joining us. I already have reservations at Chef Mickey's for dinner & staying at the Wilderness Lodge. Any other suggestions? PS He LOVES toy story.

    Hi Jennifer,

How great to be taking your son to Walt Disney World for his second birthday!

Since you are staying at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, a restaurant right there that would be fun for a large group is Whispering Canyon Cafe. It is truly a hoot-hollerin' good time, with interactive fun for the little ones. I remember my daughter galloping around this restaurant on a wooden hobby horse when she was a toddler!

Since you are celebrating your son's birthday, do be sure to get him a birthday button, available for free at Guest Relations at any Walt Disney World theme park. It is fun to hear guests and cast members alike wishing your little one a happy birthday. Although no extra magic is guaranteed, sometimes a cast member will be able to sprinkle a little extra pixie dust on your son for his special day. The same is true for indicating on your resort and dining reservations that you are celebrating your son's birthday - although there are no guarantees, sometimes you might get a little extra magic, like a festive cupcake.

Since your son loves Toy Story, how about getting a special gift or in-room celebration for him with a Toy Story theme? The Dream Makers at Disney Floral and Gifts can work with you to customize a special surprise just for him. If you click on the link I provided for the website, click on "Characters & Themes" and then "Disney Pixar Pals," where you will find some Toy Story gifts and packages. Once you have perused these, I suggest that you call (407) WDW-GIFT (407-939-4438), where a Dream Maker can work with you to customize a gift for your son.

I would love to help you plan more, Jennifer; however, I am limited in the amount of space that I have to reply. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
