I will be headed to the DW for our first time and the MK on May 24 with my DH, DS (4) and DD 2). We have breakfast at Chef Micky at 8:50. Since I wont be getting to the park right at opening where is my best bet to start to maximize my time?

    Hi Kim!

How exciting that your first trip is so close!  Chef Mickey's is a fantastic way to "kick start" your trip!  Be sure to have your camera ready for some amazing pictures with the Big Cheese himself!  When you are finished with breakfast, you can either hop on the monorail or walk (it will take about 7 minutes at a leisurely pace) over to Magic Kingdom.  ( I actually find walking faster and more convenient.  You won't have to wait for a monorail, and I'm guessing your kids will be in strollers, so you and your hubby will be able to "walk off" breakfast!)

With kids that are two and four, you'll probably be spending a lot of time in Fantasyland (Peter Pan, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and It's a Small World are all here).  I'd start by heading here, and getting a fast pass for either Peter Pan or Winnie the Pooh.  While you are waiting for your "time", ride some of the quicker attractions.  It's a Small World rarely has a long wait, and the line at Cinderella's Carousel usually goes quickly as well.  After you are done with Fantasyland, I'd head over to Adventureland, where you can get a fast pass to the Jungle Cruise, and then ride Aladdin while you wait.  (Both are very appealing to the toddler and pre-school crowd!)

Whatever itinerary you follow, be sure to take some time to enjoy the look on your children's faces as they cast their eyes on the Castle and some of their favorite Disney characters.  I'm sure your family will create memories that will last a lifetime!

    Have a wonderful trip!
