    We’re headed to DisneyWorld in January and are hoping the railroad is running again at the Magic Kingdom. Any update on the reopening of the railroad? Thanks!

    The Walt Disney World Railroad in Magic Kingdom Park is a classic attraction and my family sure has been missing it since it has been closed.  It has been closed to make way for the new Tron Lightcycle Power Run attraction currently under construction in Tomorrowland.  All of the Disney news rumor websites I searched still have the Walt Disney World Railroad opening date marked as "unknown" and the new Tron attraction isn't set to open until 2021, so I would venture to guess that the Railroad will still not be running in January, but your guess is as good as mine at this point.  Guests are still permitted to head up to the station on Main Street U.S.A. for a great photo opportunity with the train.

    The best place for official news and announcements is the Disney Parks Blog.  This is a great resource for all exciting posts about things going on around Walt Disney World as well as parks around the world.
