Hi there Sarah,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for stopping by with your question! I'm thrilled to hear that you will be heading to the Disneyland Resort in just a few short weeks - it'll be here before you know it. I'm hoping it will be a wonderfully magical time for your son as well!
The
Disability Access Service (DAS) is typically for Guests who, due to a developmental disability like autism or similar, are unable to wait in a conventional queue for an extended period of time.
We planDisney panelists are Guests - like you - who love to help other Guests plan their best Disney vacation. Therefore, I don't have any specific insight into whether you and your son may be eligible for DAS, but we always recommend reaching out to the DAS Disney Cast Member team to have a conversation!
To do that, you'll want to use the "Request Live Video Chat" button the DAS webpage, which is available between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM PST (these hours subject to change, so make sure to check the DAS page for the most updated availability). Through that, you'll be able to discuss the specifics of your situation with a Cast Member who can help.
Additionally, I've found the
Accessibility page to be a hugely helpful resource in finding the best way for Guests of all abilities to experience the magic of the Disneyland Resort.
Thanks again for your question, Sarah! I hope you and your Mouseketeer have a wonderful time at the Disneyland Resort.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
