Hiya, Jennifer! Welcome to planDisney! Can you believe that your family’s visit to the Happiest Place on Earth is less than two months away?! That's a perfect time to experience both the
Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration and
Halloween Time in one truly magical trip.
Your question about nighttime entertainment is a great one! With so many incredible shows, it can be tricky to figure out the schedule. While the official events calendar for September 28-30, 2025 isn't available just yet, I have some fantastic news to share. As I look at the
daily events schedule as far out as I can go (into mid-September), I see that the
Paint the Night parade,
Halloween Screams spectacular, and the
Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga projection show are all scheduled as part of the entertainment lineup. This is a great indication that you'll likely be able to experience all three during your visit!
It's important to know that Halloween Screams is a spook-tacular show with projections and special effects. On select nights (typically Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays), this show is enhanced with fireworks! It's an absolute must-see. Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga is a powerful projection show in
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge that uses the towering spires of Batuu as a backdrop to tell an epic story of the Skywalkers. This show is loved by many Star Wars fans!
In case you'll be visiting both parks, Jennifer, be sure to check out
World of Color Happiness! over in
Disney California Adventure Park. This spectacular show is part of the 70th Celebration and features dazzling fountains, lights, and projections. It's a truly beautiful way to end your night and is scheduled to be running during Halloween Time as well!
And, Jennifer, here’s one last magical pro-tip for you: If you find a spot near the
"it's a small world" attraction to watch the Paint the Night parade, you might just be in the perfect location to also catch another spectacular show! If you're there early enough, you can also see
Tapestry of Happiness on the facade of "it's a small world." This heartwarming projection show is a fantastic way to see the magic of Disneyland's 70-year history come to life!
Your best bet is to download the official
Disneyland mobile app before your visit. You can check the daily schedule and showtimes in real-time. This will be your best source of information for planning your evenings in the parks.
I hope this helps you and your family plan for a magical visit, Jennifer! If any other questions pop up as you get closer to your visit, you know where to find us here at planDisney!
