Hello! I am headed to Disneyland and California Adventure for my birthday but recently had surgery and am on crutches and cannot walk at all. I am planning to rent a wheelchair. What are my options for storing my crutches for the day? Thanks!

Hey there, Brenda! Welcome to planDisney. We love answering questions from Guests to make sure their planning questions are answered!

It looks like your birthday celebration at The Happiest Place on Earth is just days away and you are ready to make the most of it! I just spoke with a Guest Services Cast Member and they assured me that if you rent a wheelchair at Disneyland Resort the rental station can hold onto any other form of mobility assistance for Guests all day long. All you will need to do is let a Cast Member know you are wanting them to store your crutches there while you are renting the wheelchair when you are renting the wheelchair.

I wanted to make sure you are prepared while navigating the parks in the wheelchair. If you are going to be riding attractions during your visit, there are different attraction access requirements where some you will need to be able to transfer yourself to the ride vehicle and some may allow you to remain in the wheelchair during the attraction experience.

As soon as you head into the parks, stop by City Hall or the Chamber of Commerce to grab a complimentary "Happy Birthday" button so that the rest of the park can celebrate with you!

Brenda, I hope you have a fantastic birthday visit full of magic! See you real soon!
