Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass will help you to maximize your time in the parks and experience more attractions each day. I love that you're thinking ahead and trying to set your family up for smooth, joy-filled park days.
Lisa, you'll only be able to purchase Lightning Lane passes for the days you have valid
theme park tickets. So if you have a 5-Day Ticket, you'll only be able to buy Lightning Lane access for 5 ticketed days. Disney won't let you add a sixth Lightning Lane day on top of that, even if you're okay losing the cost for your rest day.
Since you're planning one rest day, I'd suggest placing that breather right in the middle of your trip. A little downtime by the pool, a slow breakfast, maybe even a stroll through
Disney Springs can really refresh you for the second half of your vacation.
