I am headed to Disney World at the beginning of April and am so excited for the return of Happily Ever After! I was wondering if there will be a dessert party available right as the switch between Enchantment and Happily Ever After happens?

Hi there, Sarah, and welcome to planDisney!

I'm so glad that I get to chat with a fellow Pennsylvanian today, especially because you're asking about my favorite Enchanting Extras Collection activity! In my opinion, attending a fireworks dessert party is the perfect way to experience one of Walt Disney World Resort's nighttime spectaculars.  Fireworks dessert parties offer some of the best views of the show, without the need to stake out a spot to watch hours in advance.  Combine those breathtaking fireworks views with some mouthwatering treats, and you've got an experience that's practically perfect in every way!

It's so wonderful that your visit to Walt Disney World Resort coincides with the return of Happily Ever After!  This fireworks extravaganza is my favorite Disney show, so I was thrilled to hear that it is returning to Magic Kingdom Park this spring.  Although the listings for fireworks dessert parties on the Walt Disney World Resort website have not been updated to mention Happily Ever After, it looks like the booking calendars are open through the next 60 days.  This time frame does indeed extend past Happily Ever After's return date.  I would recommend checking the availability for any party dates you would be interested in as soon as possible.  Fireworks dessert parties are very popular and do book quickly.

Sarah, I hope you'll be able to enjoy a fireworks dessert party during your trip.  However, if you're unable to reserve a party, I do have some suggestions for you.  Chartering a private watercraft for a specialty cruise is a unique and relaxing way to view a nighttime show.  Also, you can find some great places to view the fireworks at any of the three Disney Resorts Collection Hotels along the monorail route.  One of my favorite spots to watch fireworks outside of the park is the boat dock at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.  Also, even if you don't initially see availability for the fireworks dessert party dates that you're interested in, keep checking back.  Guests change their plans all the time, so you never know when you might find some open spots.

I'm sure that wherever you end up watching the show, you'll be able to reach out and find your Happily Ever After.  Wishing you a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
