we are headed to disney the week of sept28-oct4. I am planning to make ARV at a character-meal. Is the garden a good place for lunch? Also I see that the characters are Mickey and Pals who are the Pals? Also is Boma any good?

Hi Netta.   The Garden you mention I assume is the Garden Grill located within Epcot.    It happens to be one of my favorite character dining experiences.   In addition to seeing Mickey, along with pals typically including Minnie and Chip-n-Dale, you are treated to a real fine meal.  We have eaten there four or five times in the past.   Its family style dining where you are brought three or hour top quality dishes to share.   They will continue to return with more of these tasty dishes until you are completely full.    For lunch while visiting Epcot, the Garden Grill is a fine choice.

Boma, located within the Animal Kingdom Lodge, is a unique dining experience.    Its a family style buffet, based largely on African cuisine.   Not having dined as such before, I was surprised how much I enjoyed this experience.   If you are looking for something a bit different, this is also a good choice.   However, in case you weren't sure, note that Boma is not a character-meal dining experience.   Enjoy your upcoming vacation!
