Headed to Disney for 4 nights. Watched the vacation DVD & 7yr old now has her heart set on Downtown Disney. With Mickey's Christmas and the 4 parks I don't think we can do it all. DD would replace AK...or make a VERY long day. Is DD a MUST do for 7yr

Hi Kristen! We love Downtown Disney and it is a must do for us on every vacation.  However, we like to make Downtown Disney part of our Resort Day or the day activity prior to an evening hard ticket event.  Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a hard ticket event that begins at 7:00 pm, so this is an excellent day to visit Downtown Disney. You can even plan for lunch at one of my favorite restaurants at Downtown Disney, Earl of Sandwich, another must do for my family on every vacation. To prevent "burn out" and the feeling of such a long day, I would arrive to Downtown Disney at opening, 9:30 am and plan to leave mid afternoon. I would recommend that you return to your guest room for relaxation and/or naps. You will be refreshed for your evening at Magic Kingdom and the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Have a Magical Vacation!
