We are headed to Disney next week and my 14 year old just found out he has a fracture and is unable to bear weight on his leg? Any advice on ways to get around the parks when your child is on crutches?

Hello Amy and thanks for bringing such an important question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Oh man!  What a nasty thing to happen to your dear son just before your family trip to Walt Disney World Resort.
But fear not as there are some very helpful Services for Guests with Disabilities and Services for Guests with Disabilities at Disney Resort Hotels which should provide some extra assistance for your son's added comfort and mobility.
My first tip is for you to place a note of your son's current mobility issues onto your Disney hotel reservation and to perhaps even request an accessible room; it's easy to make these requests by speaking to a Cast Member by dialling the telephone number for Disney Resort Hotel Reservations contained within this Walt Disney World Resort Phone Directory.  Be sure to have your booking confirmation number close to hand when calling.
As an alternative to crutches you may wish to consider Wheelchair Rentals for ease of your son's mobility.  Wheelchairs can be rented on a pay once a day basis or you could perhaps look into Disney's Featured Providers for a longer rental agreement.
To help your family have as magical a visit as possible you might like to check out the valuable information for Attraction and Transport Access contained in this Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities link.
    Have a great Disney day.
