Hi there! Headed to Disney in March of 24…..and planning on a dinner at the Polynesian. We would love to eat at Kona Cafe for the sushi, but have a picky eater in the bunch. Can you order the burger on the dinner menu plain?

    Hi Jennifer, welcome to planDisney!

I just returned from a magical stay at Walt Disney World and had the opportunity to visit Disney's Polynesian Village Resort a few times.  One of the best features of this resort hotel is the amazing dining options!  And, based on the crowds on the second floor near the dining locations, many other Guests agree!  I highly recommend securing a reservation for your dinner once you are within 60 days of your arrival date.

I have a couple of picky eaters in my family so I understand where you are coming from with your question.  We have been vacationing at Walt Disney World for years and have found that Cast Members are pros at handling picky eaters and guests with dietary restrictions.  They will be sure everyone in your travel party is accommodated and if that means ordering a plain burger off the menu, so be it!  (Note: my picky eater would also include the cheese!)

If you can, save room for a dessert glass at the end of your Kona Cafe meal.  I especially enjoy the Key Lime and Coconut Tapioca but all the offerings are wonderful.  The portions are enough to end your meal with something a little sweet.

Jennifer, I hope you find this information helpful.  Please let us know if there is anything further we can assist you with as you continue to plan your magical Walt Disney World vacation!
