We are headed out on the Disney Magic for a 7 day cruise, our first! We are trying to budget for the cruise and are wondering how much to budget for gratuity per person for the entire cruise. Any suggestions on how this is usually done?

    Ahoy Chris!

I'm so excited for you!  Your first Disney cruise?!?  You are going to be sooo spoiled by the time you get off of the ship.  The Disney Magic is just beautiful.  I've sailed on it three times with my family, and we love it so much we are planning another adventure on the high seas this year.

Gratuities are welcome as part of recognition of excellent service, and you aren't going to believe the level of attention and service that you are going to be receiving from the moment you check in your luggage to the last minute when leaving the cruise terminal.  I've sailed other cruise lines, and I can truthfully say that Disney Cruise Line is exceptional and can't be compared.  Take a look at the suggested Gratuities and Tipping page that I've attached for you.  This way, you can take these expenses into account before your trip.

You can visit Guest Services the evening before you disembark and have the gratuities charged to your room expenses.  Of course, if you want to handle it personally you are welcome to do so.

I hope this helps your planning.  Bon voyage!

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
